Kevin Holland and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson nearly got into fisticuffs a couple of days ago. The former 205lbs champ is 50 years old and hasn’t fought for over five years, while Holland is set to fight promising PPV debutante, Reinier de Ridder, at UFC 311 this Saturday. However, Holland, who went on Jackson’s JAXXON podcast to promote that fight, got into a heated exchange with the former UFC champion and even offered to fight him.
“Last thing you want to do is fight me, though,” Jackson said after the two started getting heated. “I still want to though, I don’t give a f**k,” Holland replied with an ominous smile. “No, you don’t want to fight me,” a visibly heated Jackson retorted. “I’m being real with you, young buck, you don’t want to fight me. I’m just being real with you, sometimes people don’t know what they want.”
Their feud seems to have started off-camera and had nothing really to do with anything that happened on their podcast episode together. The origins of their feud go back to Holland’s UFC 299 clash against Michael ‘Venom’ Page. During the face-off for their fight, Holland and ‘MVP’ linked their hands, which Jackson apparently found hilarious.

‘Rampage’, who likes to joke around, then took to social media and wrote that Page and Holland’s bizarre hand-linking “looked like two women sci***ring”. This comment seemingly incensed Holland, who had an axe to grind with ‘Rampage’ on the podcast. This led to the aforementioned testy exchange between the two men.

Thankfully, things didn’t escalate further. Holland and Jackson ended their podcast episode without any further threats. But it did look at one point that the duo was getting close to physical confrontation. However, Holland should probably focus on his upcoming fight, which is pretty significant for him given how his career has been going.
Kevin Holland to face Dutch MMA star on PPV debut at UFC 311
Kevin Holland has had a horrible run of form lately. The American, who is always ready to fight and one of the most active stars in the history of the promotion, has lost three of his last four fights. While he is still relatively young and has all the skills and talent to make it to the top, he tends to go into slumps after a couple of consecutive wins.

But his upcoming clash against Reinier de Ridder, who will make his UFC PPV debut at 311, may change it. The Dutch debutante is coming off a submission victory over Gerald Meerschaert on a Fight Night card last year. In fact, de Ridder is already a veritable MMA star. ‘The Dutch Knight’ was a two-division ONE FC champion before joining the UFC. If Holland manages to beat him, he could well have a renaissance.
Otherwise, the American’s career will continue its downward trajectory. To be fair, Holland has said that he doesn’t care about winning the title and having a memorable championship run. No, he has made it clear that he just wants to get paid. But even that will be in jeopardy if he keeps on losing. What do you think about ‘Rampage’ and Holland getting heated on the former’s podcast?
