Antonio Trocoli, the fighter who replaced Joilton Lutterbach and took up the fight against Sharaputdin Magomedov, has a history of rivalry with Bobby Green. But it all began with a comment from ‘King’ about Mackenzie Dern. Trocoli, Dern’s husband, didn’t like the comment and had a conversation with Green, who initially thought that it was the strawweight fighter.

‘Malvado’, boasting a record of 12 victories and just 3 losses, pinged up Green and asked him to meet him up. But what exactly transpired between the two? Let’s find out all about it, shall we?

What did Antonio Trocoli tell Bobby Green?

During the weigh-ins for UFC 298, the UFC lightweight fighter joined Laura Sanko, Michael Bisping, and Dan Hellie. But the drama began when Dern stepped onto the stage to get her weight checked. The presenters pointed out that the Brazilian-American mixed martial artist hadn’t had ice cream for a long time and she looked “fantastic”. But Green seemingly let his intrusive thoughts win and exclaimed, “Sheesh!”

Needless to say, the comment went viral among the netizens. But Dern’s husband had different plans altogether. After Green’s comment went viral, he took to Instagram and put forth a story where he revealed the talks that transpired between Dern’s apparent number and him. He said, “I did a little sheesh, with McKenzie, As soon as that little s**t went viral, she hit me up. And so she hit me back with a little like thank you, you know. I was like, ‘Oh yeah. Woop woop!’”

But as the lightweight fighter tried to talk to Dern, she ended up sending a text that declared that she was married and had a husband. This led to Green backing away, claiming that he didn’t know about it. But the shocker came when he got hit by another number. The number claimed that it was Dern, and asked Green to ping her on that particular number. Soon, Dern sent out a text asking Green for a meet-up. However, the lightweight revealed that she was persistent in meeting him that specific day. But Green had to reject it all since he had some other commitments in Mexico. But once he returned and texted Dern back, he got the rug pulled out from right under his feet.

The next text from Dern revealed that it was actually Trocoli who had been texting Green. “I end up hitting her back, whatever. And I’m like, ‘What’s up?’ She’s like, ‘Uh’, and the text goes. ‘This is her husband and I was talking to you.’“. 

‘King’ found it all funny. He told Dern’s husband that he thought he wanted a fight with Green. But he was simply glad to have averted a night that could have gone really bad. Nevertheless, Trocolli is all in to show just how strong he is in his fight against ‘Shara Bullet’ at UFC Saudi Arabia.

The MMA promotion was already under heavy fire as Khamzat Chimaev pulled out of his much-anticipated fight against Robert Whittaker, owing to his persistent illness. But when the UFC head honcho declared that there was yet another fighter who pulled out from the cards, the fight fans went into a frenzy. Just a few days before UFC’s debut event in Saudi Arabia, White announced that Lutterbach, who was supposed to fight Magomedov, pulled out of the fight because of medical reasons. 

Without wasting any time, the UFC brought in Antonio Trocoli to fight the Russian mixed martial artist. It would indeed be Trocolli’s debut in the UFC. White announced, “Well, Joilton Lutterbach is out, and this fight has been replaced three times. Antonio Trócoli makes his UFC debut on three days’ notice. He’s got 12 wins: 3 by knockout and 5 by submission and is currently riding a three-fight win streak. Trócoli has a massive reach advantage. This should be a fun fight!”
