Former UFC light heavyweight champion and current heavyweight contender, Jon Jones, has fired multiple shots at his long-time rival, Daniel Cormier, on Twitter.

Cormier recently retired after losing his fight against Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight belt at UFC 252. He is now an analyst with the UFC and his own show on ESPN alongside Ariel Helwani. In the latest edition of this show (March 1, 2021), he said that Jones didn’t have the power to knock out anyone in the heavyweight division.

This didn’t go down well with Jones, who shared a compilation of him knocking out Cormier in their fight. Daniel responded, and that led to an explosion of four tweets from Jones. He started with a tweet counting his accomplishments in the octagon and ended with, “Yea, that insult really did the trick, DC.”

He then responded to a fan’s tweet and hinted that ‘DC’ was still bitter towards him. “You can still hear the bitterness in his words to this day,” Jones tweeted.

However, he didn’t stop here and talked about how his lifestyle is ideal for him. “I’m out here being a dad, enjoying the fruits of my labor, my friends hit me up asking if I see what’s being said on the Internet. I login respond with straight facts and go back to minding my business,” he said.

He has engaged in multiple feuds on Twitter with fighters like Israel Adesanya and Francis Ngannou. Chiefly, his feud with ‘The Last Stylebender’ went on for a while and was really intense. He has engaged in multiple back and forths with Chael Sonnen and ‘DC’ in the past.

The fan’s tweet recognized the greatness of both of the fighters and asked them to bury the hatchet. Amazingly, it seems like ‘Bones’ is ready to do it. However, Cormier hasn’t responded yet.
