The Apex Center, located in Las Vegas, is a facility where many fight nights are held in the UFC. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-2021, the center became a crucial venue for hosting events, including some PPVs.

For a long while, many fans have criticized the Apex Center. It is mainly for the venue’s small size and the enclosed cage. Joe Rogan stated a completely opposite opinion to this.

Joe Rogan praises the UFC Apex Center

Firstly, Rogan expressed his admiration for the Apex Center, stating, “The Apex is the best”. He responded to those who criticize the venue, asserting that they should experience a fight there firsthand before passing judgment. According to Rogan, attending fights at the Apex Center provided him with some of the most enjoyable and immersive experiences as a commentator.

“I hear people saying like ‘stop having fights at the Apex, UFC is lazy for having fights at the Apex’. I am like ‘what are you talking about? Go there once and see a fight there, its amazing’. Some of the most fun experiences that I have had of calling fights…”

The smaller size of the venue offers a unique atmosphere, allowing spectators to hear various aspects of the fights that might be missed in larger arenas. Rogan mentioned the visceral elements that he encountered at the Apex Center. This includes hearing the fighters’ breathing, trash-talking, and the instructions from the cornermen.

“I have only been to the Apex twice to watch fights, no actually once! It was amazing. You hear the breathing, the sh*t talking, you hear the cornermen, you hear everything.”
