Amidst the fervent anticipation of UFC 293 in Sydney, an air of uncertainty shrouds the next contender for the illustrious UFC Middleweight Championship, currently held by the formidable Israel Adesanya. His coach, Eric Nickson, was in the spotlight as he stated the main hurdle on his path to Sydney. He stated a major reason hindering them from making it to the main event of UFC 293 in a YouTube interview.

Speaking with the submission radio, Nickson shed light on what difficulties are on their path, considering the fight against Adesanya. He revealed that the visa process has been an uphill climb for them in the current scenario. He was asked if the visa process was the only matter of hurdle they were facing.

Considering the question, he straightaway agreed and responded. “He said, Yeah that is a great question. And that is what he exactly said is we’re just at a kind of mercy of the visa process. He said all parties involved are on board you know, we haven’t talked any logistics as far as numbers go and the visa gets done. And that will be the next hurdle but I dont think it will be that difficult of the hurdle across. Moreover I think the visa thing is the biggest thing right now. And once we get through this we are good to go.”

Shedding light on his statements, he said that the visa process was the only big difficulty in the current scenario. He sounded eager as he expressed his enthusiasm for the fight, saying that once everything was completed, they would be ready to start. Well, not only him but also Strickland showed his excitement for the bout in the past as well.

After Dricus du Plessis‘ exit from the scenario, it is believed that Stickland could be the one to challenge Adesanya. Well, Strickland seems confident amidst the current scenario. The Schmo and Strickland recently spoke after his sparring session. Strickland emphasized his optimism in light of the matchup with Adesanya. He claimed that while winning the fight was simple, obtaining the fight with the UFC was difficult.

He said, “And then, once the fight happens, all I got to do is fight Izzy, which you know, that is the easy part right? Getting the fight is the hard part- making the fight. Winning the fight is the easy part”
