Cejudo is currently training with Zhang Weili. Weili is preparing for redemption against Rose Namanujas at UFC 268. The Chinese star dropped her belt to ‘Thug Rose’ at UFC 261.
It will be interesting to see if there’s a different outcome in the rematch. Cejudo has already revealed that former flyweight Deiveson Figueiredo will be joining them soon as well.
But, Cejudo will have to take care of his family at the moment as they wait for the newest member to join. That hasn’t stopped ‘Triple-C’ from taking shots at the current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski as the former is looking to become a UFC champion at three weight classes.
Alexander Volkanovski vs Henry Cejudo: The fight to make next?
Cejudo has gone off on Volkanovski on multiple occasions. He has taunted the Aussie by calling him ‘The Average’, which is a dig at the featherweight champion’s moniker, ‘The Great‘. That has caught Volkanovski’s attention too.

Volkanovski recently defeated Brian Ortega at UFC 266. It was a Fight Of The Year contender with both fighters putting on a show. But, he might have to wait for the next contender as Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez will engage in a title eliminator in December. The champion wants to stay active and a fight with Cejudo seemingly makes perfect sense considering the timeline.
If indeed the fight eventually takes place, remains to be seen. It has the promise to be yet another classic given the UFC books it.
