Dana White talks about the future of global streaming

During the course of the interview, White also made some comments about streaming and broadcasting future events globally. He said, “Now with streaming, we’re getting to a place where, in the next 6-7 years, like ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox, there’s gonna be that equivalent but globally.”

Dana White says companies like Amazon, YouTube, and ESPN are making big moves in the international streaming space. He believes that once this international streaming infrastructure is built, he will be able to smash all current PPV records.

He says, “Once this streaming thing happens, look at the ceiling on this thing. I could do a fight finally where the entire world can watch it at the same time on the same channel.”

White also talked about a prediction he made 20 years ago when he started the business. He believed MMA will be the biggest sport in the world and that the UFC would be in every country. In 2021, looking at how far the sport and the UFC have come, it is plausible that Dana’s words come to fruition.
