

The UFC’s return to Singapore didn’t disappoint as UFC 275 saw many finishes throughout the night. The main card welterweight bout between Jake Matthews and Andre Fialho had the crowd on their feet.

This was a spectacular contest that had moments for both fighters. However, the 27-year-old Aussie thrived in the chaos and won the fight in the second round (2:24). This marked the fifth knockout win for ‘The Celtic Kid’, who now has an 18-5 MMA record.
Meanwhile, Fialho (28), who put on a decent performance in defeat, moved to a 16-5 MMA record with the loss.
With the win, Mathews now has won 4 out of his last five bouts. The Nexus gym fighter showed how nasty his hands could be when he’s put under pressure.

Before this knockout, the event saw a big finish in the early prelims that created history.
Women’s strawweight produced the promotion’s first PPV KO in Singapore
The second bout of the night between strawweight athletes, Silvana Gómez Juárez and Na Liang, produced a rare vicious knockout in the women’s division at 115 lbs.
Coming off of two back-to-back losses in the big show, ‘La Malvada‘ showed how much power she carries in both of her hands. The Argentinian standout finished the bout in just 82-seconds when she landed a ferocious combination to put her opponent down on the canvas.

With the vicious knockout loss, ‘Dragon Girl‘ has now lost two fights in a row. The 25-year-old made her debut at UFC 261 against Ariane Carnelossi, but lost in the second round of the bout. Now, the Chinese fighter would look to bounce back from her losing skid and get her maiden win inside the Octagon.
