The modern world of the internet provides us with a viable number of options for entertainment. Some might prefer watching movies, while others might stick to music videos. But one such content that most of the online population enjoys is ‘memes’. They are basically short videos or pictures. Memes can be created in various ways and spread like a wildfire. Collages of photos and videos, funny segments of shows, or hilarious snaps with a bit of mockery are the types of memes we often get to see on social media platforms.

The MMA world has also accepted these as a source of entertainment. Recently, a few UFC memes went on to bag the ‘Trending’ spot on Twitter.
The Joe Rogan shock meme
The first meme that went viral and grabbed the ‘Trending’ spot primarily featured none other than the UFC’s color commentator, Joe Rogan. A Majority of MMA fans are accustomed to the flabbergasting expression of Joe Rogan whenever he witnesses any fight ending with a vicious move. The meme showcased the video of a fight between the two noted NBA stars, ‘Draymond Green’ and ‘Jordan Poole’.

The video started off with both pushing each other and then Green landing a hand on Poole and following him up in a clinch.
It was collaged with a Joe Rogan video from the commentator’s cam. Rogan’s blindsided expression came just at the time when Green landed the hand on Poole. No wonder it grabbed a spot on the ‘Trending’ list.
This video also garnered a lot of reaction from the fans, some of which were equally hilarious to witness. Sighting the similarity between ‘Will Smith’s’ famous Oscar slap and Draymond Green’s strike, a fan named ‘ArkansasDiver’ wrote, “Was he talkin $hit about Jada?”.

Another fan named ‘dennis4lyfe1993′ commented, “Let’s not check in with Joe Rogan though”. Evidently, Joe Rogan wasn’t this person’s choice when it came to checking in.

Dana White welcomed Green to UFC after his exceptional strike
The second ‘Trending’ meme showcased the UFC boss, Dana White, collaged with a video of Draymond Green. The video tried to portray the message that Dana White was impressed at Green’s strike and was welcoming him into the UFC. Green was also morphed into a UFC background, making it look like he was attending a UFC press conference.

The meme video displayed White staring at the resume of a fighter, apparently Draymond Green as per the video. White goes on to say, “I write notes to remind me”. He continues, “My only note on my paper is Goddamn”. Green looks a bit despaired at White’s words in the collage.
White further says, “Me and a lot of other people are excited to see the future that this kid has. Welcome to the UFC brother.” He clarifies that Green has been inducted into the UFC and also welcomes him. Green’s expression in the collage changes to a cheerful one portraying that he was pleased to be inducted into the UFC. Lots of netizens liked and retweeted the meme. It was indeed hilarious.
