Former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira is all geared up for his next fight at UFC 300. The Brazilian will take on 27-year-old Arman Tsarukyan at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada. The lightweight battle promises to be a blockbuster as both fighters are supremely skillful. But before the much-anticipated battle, a recent video on Instagram caught the attention of the fans.

The video features Charles Oliveira in his grueling weight-cutting process. Every professional fighter has to go through this process before their fight to lose weight. However, the fans seemed concerned about the former champion and shared their opinion on the entire process.

34-year-old Charles Oliveira is without a doubt one of the most conditioned athletes in the UFC. The Brazilian stays in shape year round which allows him to make weight before his fight. Very rarely does the former champion fail to make weight in the lightweight division. According to his coach, he walks in around 176-180 pounds during his off season, which makes it easy to lose the 25 pounds. However, losing those extra pounds is not an easy process. A recent video posted by Combat Talk on Instagram gave the fans an insight into the weight-cutting process of Oliveira.

Charles Oliveira feels Conor McGregor will never face him in his career

Former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira recently appeared on ESPN MMA for an interview. During the conversation, he shared his opinion on his upcoming fight. However, the conversation swiftly shifted towards Conor McGregor as the Dubliner is all set to make a return to the Octagon after a gap of three years. Oliveira’s coach Diego Lima, in his conversation with MMA Fighting, revealed that McGregor showed his willingness to take on the Brazilian in 2022. Lima said, “Before Makhachev, McGregor texted Oliveira telling him to wait, not to fight…” . In his recent interview Oliveira was asked if he would take on McGregor next in his career.

The Brazilian responded to the question and said, “He knows he doesn’t want this fight.” He further added, “Sometimes he posts something about me and then deletes it. So there’s a spark. But he’s no fool. He will never take this fight.” ‘Do Bronx’ is more focused on his next fight at UFC 300, as a win would take him closer to the title shot.
