Conor McGregor still cannot shake off his bad luck on TUF 31. In the sixth episode of the series, the Irishman’s team went 0-6 behind Michael Chandler’s boys in red. McGregor’s contestant and SBG Ireland stablemate Lee Hammond lost via submission to team Chandler’s Kurt Holobaugh. McGregor has been facing backlash from all directions for his coaching (or lack thereof) on the show. The latest entry into the list of people who are criticizing him is former double champion Henry Cejudo.
Henry Cejudo and Conor McGregor have gone back and forth several times in the past. The Olympic gold medalist has been a staunch critic of the Dubliner and often trolls him online. Quite recently, McGregor fired back with a hilarious video following Cejudo’s title fight loss to Aljamain Sterling. McGregor’s antics had the MMA community doubling up with laughter. Now, Triple C has made the most of the opening that presented itself after McGregor’s disastrous stint on TUF 31.

Conor McGregor looked heartbroken as he went to his knees following Lee Hammond’s loss on the latest episode of TUF 31. Hammond looked incredible for the majority of the fight but got caught in a guillotine in the dying seconds and tapped. Not many will have been surprised by this turn of events as the spoilers for the episode had leaked online a few days ago.
However, Henry Cejudo seemed to have waited for the opportune moment to get a jab in. In a tweet, the bantamweight star wrote, “Hey @TheNotoriousMMA I hope you win your upcoming Court Case…it’ll be the 1st win you get this decade.”

Cejudo spared no details as he trolled McGregor for the TUF results and for his controversies outside the cage. McGregor had won a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Manny Pacquiao in May and claimed almost $8.1 million. However, he finds himself in trouble with the law again after the controversies that followed his appearance at an NBA game in June.
Additionally, he also trolled ‘The Notorious’ for not winning a fight since UFC 246 in January 2020.
Fans will have to wait and see how McGregor responds to this jibe from Cejudo. Meanwhile, the altercation that followed Hammond’s loss is going viral on social media.
