In his latest conversation, the UFC head honcho shared the production details, which made the event the most viewed on social media.

There are very few events in the world that have drawn attention in the way Power Slap has. What started thirteen months ago is now one of the most viewed events on social media. Despite facing a lot of criticism from former fighters and even doctors, it seems the event is here to stay. White, who is known to take on challenges, shared in his latest episode how the event is getting massive. The 54-year-old pointed out the challenges that every new venture faces and said, “When you start a new sport, there’s a lot of trial and error, and you walk through plus the production.”

However, he was quick to point out that his production team was doing a fantastic job. The UFC head honcho revealed a few details that might surprise a few NFL and NBA fans. He said, “I’ll tell you this, if you’ve ever watched one of the power slap events on television. I would love to see the NBA the NFL Major league Baseball any of the majors you know five of six shows in. And have the production quality that we have. We have more cameras than the NFL does. When we shoot, power slap. And there’s like 34 different angles of the slap and then we put them all out on social media and they all I’m talking about hundreds of millions of views these things do. It’s incredible. It’s been a fun ride.”

This was not especially true when he and the Fertitta brothers got into this business. When Sebastian Maniscalco spoke to Jimmy Fallon of NBC Nightly News he explained the details of the initial investment made by him, Lorenzo, and Frank Fertitta.

The 54-year-old said, “You know the original guys; the Fertita brothers were my partners in the UFC. We sold in 2016 to Endeavor, so my go-to guys I said ‘hey, I got another idea. you guys want to do this?’ And they’re like ‘yeah, we’re in.’ So we all gotta pony up a million bucks each and get this thing started. That was 13 months ago; it’s a $750 million business [today].” What started as a million-dollar investment has now grown into a massive business.
