Another blockbuster event has concluded for the UFC as Kansas City played host to an evening of thrilling fights. Among the many standout fights, the flyweight bout at the prelims between Brandon Royval and Matheus Nicolau stood out from the rest. During the post-fight interview, ‘Raw Dog’ addressed the media and answered the question of being emotional after his victory. Despite delivering one of the best finishes of the night, the fact that the UFC placed him on the preliminary card left him disappointed.
The 30-year-old feels that he has been overlooked for a title shot and that they have not recognized his hard work and dedication. He also stated that he deserves more respect from the UFC.
“I go and put myself f**king out there and I go fight my a** off. And I am the most dangerous dude in this division… I am performing, I am putting it out there. I should never be on f**king prelim again.”, said Brandon Royval.

During the post-fight interview, media personnel asked Dana White to give his thoughts on Brandon Royval‘s disappointment. In response, the 53-year-old agreed that the UFC had messed up in that scenario, saying,“He’s not wrong. He’s not. And listen, we’re really good at what we do, but we f**k up sometimes. We do.”

White continued, “I literally said… We f**ked this up. This kid should open the show tonight. He’s right.”
