The beef between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor‘s best buddy, Dillon Danis, dates back years. However, it seems that their rivalry has not come to an end after all these years, but rather has gotten more cemented over time. At the moment, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu star has once again provoked the former UFC star, Nate Diaz. While Danis has been inactive from the sport for four years, he is making headlines for his controversial statements. His animosity with Diaz began years ago, and it gathered public attention in 2016 after Diaz spoke against Danis in a press conference after UFC 202.
The two turned a lot of eyeballs towards them after a physical altercation between each other after UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden. Both Diaz and Danis came to attend UFC 281. After the event, the two got into a physical altercation outside the arena, which ended with the 37-year-old slapping one of El Jefe’s teammates. Now, McGregor’s buddy had dug up the video of Diaz talking against him and calling Danis out at the UFC 202 press conference.

Diaz and McGregor came face-to-face for a rematch at UFC 202. Unlike their first clash, luck was not in Diaz’s favor. He lost the bout via decision after the fifth round. After the bout, while talking to the press, it was evident that the American fighter was unhappy at losing the fight. That’s when he decided to make some derogatory comments about the Irishman and his former BJJ training partner, Danis.
Diaz said in the meeting, “That Jiu-Jitsu coach he’s got? I’m gonna get that motherf*cker, man. That guy is on my hit list. This is America and he’s over there representing with them? And then he wants to look up at the press conference like he’s hard?“

Talking further about Danis, he continued, “That’s the reason that the fools got rushed at the press conference too is because they rolled up all making a scene like, ‘We are the hardest sh*t in town’.“
Danis uploaded the video of Nate Diaz talking against him on his Instagram on December 20th, 2018 with the caption, “Still waiting.”

The Bellator fighter has called out the free agent to fight against him in a boxing match. Danis seems quite confident that he can easily defeat the UFC star. Diaz’s last bout in the promotion was at UFC 279 against Tony Ferguson. He won the bout via guillotine choke in the fourth round. Now that he is a free agent, the combat sports lovers need to wait to find out if the fight between the two will come to fruition.
