‘Rowdy’ and ‘Alpha’ clash against each other for the women’s bantamweight title in 2015 at UFC 184. Conor McGregor, at the peak of his UFC career, was present in the stands to witness this bout.
It was then that the all-hyped Zingano made her walk toward the cage and accidentally threw her cap in McGregor’s direction. However, ‘The Notorious’ showed his insane skills and dodged the throw.
While talking about the incident with Ariel Helwani, McGregor said, “There’s no beef… I hope not. I love Cat, I love women’s MMA. And I’m a big fan of all the female athletes and Cat is up there as one of the best of them…”
“I saw it coming a mile away. I could have caught it but there was some lucky fans behind me. So I said, ‘I’ll let them take the hat,” McGregor concluded.
@CatZingano Haha thank you Cat! I still have the hat too haha!! Looking forward to the comeback champ 🙂

Following the incident, ‘Alpha’ took to her official Twitter account and apologized to McGregor with a funny note. Zingano jokingly claimed she was helping the Irish star sharpen his reflexes.
In response to her tweet, ‘The Mystic Mac’ too played cool and thanked the female fighter. He also hoped for her comeback as she lost the title fight against Rousey, who furthered her undefeated run in the UFC with this victory.
Meanwhile, akin to Rousey, ‘The Notorious’ was also undefeated in the UFC, but soon suffered a setback.
