One particular instance involved The Notorious making a joke regarding Floyd Mayweather, which sent the crowd into a frenzy.

McGregor vs Mayweather: Going down in history 

During the press conference, when Mayweather was halfway through his turn to talk, he stated, “I’m 40, but I look 20,” to which McGregor replied, “And you act 10.” This one statement was enough to get the crowd going.

Everything about that press conference was exciting. The former double champ seemed unstoppable from McGregor’s entry to his comebacks. Draped in otherworldly confidence, the Irishman managed to tear the roof off the stadium.

As talented as Floyd Mayweather may be in the ring, it looked like McGregor drowned out Mayweather’s voice with his verbal talent.

The crowd that McGregor can pull with his antics points towards the fact that the Irishman belongs to the world of boxing when it comes to promotion. Although he remains a UFC fighter through and through, his return to the boxing ring would skyrocket PPV buys once more.
