UFC lightweight, Jared Gordon, recently used his mixed martial arts skills to handle a real-life situation and save his family in the process.

It is not exactly known what started it all. But in a video uploaded by the UFC lightweight fighter on his official Instagram account, he and his family member can be seen pinning a man on the ground.
“Here’s me subduing a guy with a bat after he tried to attack my family and I with it. I don’t know how I restrained myself from beating his face in. My mother then went Karen and wanted to call the cops,” Gordon wrote in the caption.

In the video, we can see ‘Flash’ trying to snatch a baseball bat out of the attacker’s hands. Amidst their struggle, the attacker clears that he had no intentions of hitting them.
However, after a few minutes of struggle, Gordon successfully disarmed the guy. Even though the UFC fighter was in the position to hit the attacker, he avoided that. Instead, ‘Flash’ just took the bat away and let the attacker go.
The funny part of the video was that the attacker asked for his baseball bat back. To which Gordon replied, “go get a new one.” Many fans and even fellow UFC fighters lauded his actions in the comments section.Apparently, this is not the only time the 33-year-old got into a street fight. ‘Flash’ is coming off a recent loss against Grant Dawson that snapped his three-fight undefeated streak. He will look for ways to bounce back into the win column now against Leonardo Santos in the preliminary card of UFC 278.
The pay-per-view will take place inside the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is an important match-up for Gordon to stay relevant in the lightweight division. Also, after such a heroic act in the street, fans will be glad to see him back to his winning was.
