The 29-year-old fighter has an impressive MMA record of 28-3-1. However, it’s his work ethic and fight style that has impressed the fight fans more than anything. Besides, he has some crazy routines & habits that put him on a different level.

For example, a video of him screaming had fans–amazed and terrified at the same time. Looking at his physique and the volume of his roar, he appears to be a Viking about to hunt their prey.

Even earlier, he had shocked UFC fans with his revelation that he uses trees as a punching bag. Apparently, Prochazka hits a tree 500 times a day to sharpen his hands.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, the Czech Republic fighter submitted hitting trees as a part of the routine that he would do with ‘no breaks’. He offered, “It’s a good training for the body,” while also suggesting the heavy bags feel rather easy after he hits trees repeatedly.

Though these training methods could look a little hideous, the light heavyweight fighter has shown tremendous outcomes inside the Octagon. With two devastating knockouts that too against two former title challengers, Prochazka has cemented his place in the division and the heart of the fight fans.

And should he capture the title at UFC 275, the fans could expect a plethora of title defenses from Prochazka. Since the JETSAAM GYM BRNO standout was a multi-time Rizin champion and arrived in the promotion absolutely prepared.

Is Jiri Prochazka ready for Glover Teixeira?

The 42-year-old, Teixeira, defied the odds as he set a record to become the oldest first-time UFC champion in the promotion’s history. Though he is old, his performances have only gotten better and sharper.

The Teixeira MMA & Fitness representative is currently riding a six-fight winning streak in the division. Besides, five of these are finishes, all of them coming on the ground (4 submissions, 1 ground, and pound).

Despite Teixeira’s recent winning streak, the fight fans would still give an edge to Prochazka as the 29-year-old has brutal knockout power, creative standup, and a decent takedown defense and ground game.

Though Prochazka appears to have an edge in the striking department, he has to be careful of Teixeira’s ground game without letting his guard down. Only then could he capture the UFC light heavyweight championship.
