What was Stephen Thompson even trying to do?

As claimed by ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson himself, he was “skinny dipping” in a stranger’s pool. His younger self, being unaware of the consequences, did not see imprisonment coming his way. He reported that the reason why he was caught in the act was the fact that the landlord had installed cameras because the pool was subjected to vandalism prior to Thompson’s mischievous attempt.
