The story of Francis Ngannou is nothing short of a fairy tale
The heavyweight kingpin may have fought his last fight with the promotion, but his reign as its champion is not over yet. Ngannou never dreamed about fighting or becoming a world champion. He came from a humble background in Cameroon, where he worked in the sand mines from the tender age of just 9 years old to make the ends meet.

The long arduous journey from Cameroon to Europe saw him landing in Paris, France, where he was discovered by the MMA factory. He learned the ropes of mixed martial arts and his career as a professional fighter began. He always had his eyes on boxing, but given the rise of MMA, Ngannou was advised to pursue it.
