The co-main event of UFC 282, Pimblett vs Gordon, turned out to be a close and competitive fight on Dec 10. The lightweight division fight in T-Mobile Arena evoked harsh criticism from the fans and fighters alike due to its controversial judges’ decision. Besides, while the MMA world was in a state of shock, Paddy Pimblett, who got his hand raised, remained confident about the fight’s decision.
Further, when the UFC commentator, Joe Rogan, interviewed ‘The Baddy’, he tried to take a dig at the noted journalist Ariel Helwani. However, the Liverpool-born fighter failed miserably.

Notably, Pimblett, 27, recently shared an infamous feud with the former ESPN correspondent as he called him a ‘rodent’.
What did Paddy Pimblett say to Joe Rogan?
Elated with his successive fourth win in the promotion, Pimblett appeared boosted and high-spirited. Further, the famous TV presenter approached the Liverpudlian MMA fighter with a remark of ‘close fight’.
The Next Generation MMA team product straightaway discarded the statement. Therefore, he told Rogan, “No it wasn’t, that wasn’t close. You just consoled me in a bit.”
Further, he added while referring to the ongoing feud between him and Helwani, “But know what, Joe have you consulted me manager and see how much you’re paying me for this interview?”

However, the scathing remark flopped in front of the former Fear Factor host as he remained unfazed and continued with the interview.
Earlier, hosting his now-infamous podcast with UFC president Dana White, Pimblett demanded Helwani start paying fighters for the interviews. Also, he claimed the journalist made ‘thousands and thousands’ from these interviews.
Subsequently, the former Cage Warriors champion announced, “You’re doing it to put money in your pocket Ariel, you little rodent…”
As expected, these harsh comments attracted the attention of the 40-year-old journalist.

Notably, the Montreal-born journalist once invited the 20-4 record holder on his renowned podcast, The MMA Hour, in 2018.
Hence, the acknowledged sports journalist released an hour-long video where he dismissed Pimblett’s claims with evidence. In the same video, he pulled a voice note and later on, supplemented it with text messages from the Brit and his manager.
Towards the concluding section of the video, Helwani strictly announced, “Don’t lie. You’re a role model to a lot of people… Feels to me there was a little bit of bullying going on in that clip.”
