Although ‘The Eagle’ has retired from professional fighting, he hasn’t left the sport completely. He now runs his own MMA promotion. And also trains athletes, generally his friends and teammates, for their respective MMA careers.
Some of the most notable names training under ‘The Eagle’ include Islam Makhachev and Tagir Ulanbekov. Interestingly, one more feather has been added to Khabib’s coach cap after his undefeated cousin Umar Nurmagomedov made his UFC debut last year. Umar is currently 2-0 in the UFC.
In his last outing at UFC 272, Umar defeated the UFC veteran Brian Kelleher in the first round via submission. Following Umar’s octagon interview, Joe Rogan mispronounced his name by mistake. However, the former lightweight champion decided to have fun with him.

‘Gamebred’ reportedly attacked his arch-nemesis ‘Chaos’ at the Papi Steak house at Miami Beach after he had dinner with the Nelk boys. Consequently, Covington pressed charges against Masvidal.
However, the Dagestan native had a different view on this. He slammed the Californian for bringing up Masvidal’s wife and children in his trash talks. And also stated that UFC welterweight combatants should reject fighting Covington. However, Nurmagomedov received a mixed reaction for his statements from the MMA community.
