Joe Rogan and his signature sense of humor is fun to watch. Especially because sometimes he makes fun of people in such a matter-of-factly manner that it seems too flawless to forget. In a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan casually had his guest laughing at Young Jamie’s expense.

Jamie Vernon is a big part of the podcast and has been for a very long time. He’s not often seen on camera but his voice is widely recognized. This edition of the podcast saw him getting mildly offended before everyone just laughed it off.

Joe Rogan often has notable guests on his podcasts. He’s had the likes of Elon Musk and Neil deGrasse Tyson on his podcast before; Neil being a world-renowned astrophysicist. So of course, Rogan is familiar with the scientist and ended up bringing him up in conversation.

“That thing, that we do this appeal to authority is valid in certain ways,” Rogan explained. “So if I was going to ask an astrophysicist questions and I had a choice of either asking Jamie or Neil deGrasse Tyson. I’m going with Neil deGrasse Tyson.”

Immediately, Vernon’s voice was heard on the podcast. “Hold on,” he said making guest Jim Breur erupt with laughter. It looked like Rogan had offended Vernon so he quickly retorted with “Jamie, without Google.” And then the producer just laid it down as a joke. “I’m just f*cking kidding,” Vernon said agreeing with Rogan’s take.

Was that a close one for Rogan? Not really. He and Vernon share a great relationship and joking around is probably a part of their routine. Rogan, after all, comes from a strong background in comedy. His guest, Bruer himself is a comedian and actor just like many of Rogan’s friends. The podcast is almost always entertaining but how long will it last?

There are a few profitable ways out if Spotify decides to let Rogan go to cut back on costs. He could find another streaming platform or perhaps launch one of his own. Alternatively, the streaming giant could continue the deal by extending it. But there’s no way to tell for sure what’s going to happen. What are your predictions regarding his next move?
