UFC 287 saw Israel Adesanya reclaim his middleweight title from Alex Pereira with a second-round finish in the main event of an extremely entertaining card. With the win, the 33-year-old was finally able to avenge his previous losses to the Brazilian while also seemingly putting an end to the long-standing rivalry between the two.
Considering the intense rivalry and the fact that Adesanya was successful in bringing the title back home once again, it didn’t come as a surprise to see the champ receive massive support on his arrival back home. A video clip posted earlier showed the intense celebration that followed Adesanya’s return to New Zealand as a group of men performed the traditional Haka for the returning champ.

The short video clip posted by a filmmaker by the name of Piotr Kwasnik on Instagram showed the love and support that the people of New Zealand had for ‘The Last Stylebender’. As the champ walked out of his car, he was welcomed by a Haka dance while a huge crowd gathered to watch the celebrations.
As this clip started getting traction, Adesanya’s fans reacted to it and expressed their amazement at the goosebump-worthy welcome for the champ. Let’s take a look at some of the best ones so far.

Although many believed that ‘Poatan’ would go on to claim yet another victory, Adesanya shut down those claims in spectacular fashion with a second-round finish of the Brazilian.

Following this fight, fans were quite eager for the duo to run it back once again; but confirmation from Pereira about his move up to light heavyweight has pretty much killed the idea of a rematch, for now at least.
