Dustin Poirier tried to get the better of Benoit Saint-Denis with a guillotine choke in the second round despite his corner asking him not to. This led ‘The Diamond’ to put ‘God of War’ on his back, attempting a neck crank. However, Poirier showed a lot of spirit and got back on his feet. His perseverance paid dividends as he knocked out Saint-Denis during the closing stages of the second round. As soon as Poirier won, he turned his attention to a special guest sitting cage side.

The 45th President of the United States maintained his streak in attending yet another UFC PPV event. He was accompanied by UFC CEO Dana White as he walked out to the arena, and received a loud cheer from the crowd in attendance at the Kaseya Center. Trump was sitting cage side when Dustin Poirier knocked out Benoit Saint-Denis and turned his attention to the ex-president.

It was not clear what was said between Poirier and Trump, but it looked as if the former president praised ‘The Diamond’ for his impressive win. Moreover, the former interim champ also appeared to thank Trump for the praise since his bounce back from his loss to Justin Gaethje.
