Joe Rogan had some firm statements to make ahead of the interim UFC flyweight bout at UFC 277. The UFC commentator called Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France’s bout ‘the real world title fight’. Moreno and France squared off against each other after Deiveson Figueiredo couldn’t defend his title because of a hand injury. Thus, the champion fired back at Rogan. What was Figueiredo’s response to the veteran commentator?

Rogan offered that the flyweight champion would not make 125 lbs. Thus, the Brazilian posted a reel (a picture of him having salad) on his social handle, offering a solution to the 54-year-old’s concern.

“Hey @joerogan … I JUST STARTED MY DIET!!!” Deus da Guerra wrote.

Earlier after the bout, when the Brazilian was informed of Rogan’s comments, he said (via translator), “I’m gonna have to step into the octagon, go into the arena and look for Joe Rogan’s crystal ball.”

The 125 lbs champion included, “I’m gonna make weight, and I’m gonna show it to him [Joe Rogan].”

What exactly did Joe Rogan say about Deiveson Figueiredo?

The UFC 277 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, was a double headliner. The 2-decade old UFC commentator returned to the broadcast booth for the second time in the month – a rare treat for UFC fans.

While hyping up the interim championship bout on the card, one of two championship bouts, Rogan said, “This [Brandon Moreno vs. Kai Kara-France 2] is the real world title fight.” The number one podcaster in the world continued, “I don’t think we’re ever going to see Figueiredo down at 125 pounds] again.”

Rogan’s comment received heat from the ardent MMA followers on social handles. And it appeared the champion was not happy about it as well. Interestingly, the former Fear Factor host and the 34-year-old came face-to-face during Moreno’s Octagon interview. However, there was no conflict between either the 125 lbs champion & Rogan or the interim champion.
