The face of the UFC, Conor McGregor’s comeback is about to happen soon as the former dual weight champion is about to lock horns against Michael Chandler after months of anticipation. Their clash would be happening at the T-Mobile arena in Nevada on UFC 303 on June 29th. McGregor has given his all for his comeback, but there was a tincture of doubt regarding his injured leg. However, it seems like it won’t be a problem for him now.

The MMA community believed it was too soon for Conor McGregor to come back, considering his injury could have been career-ending. Some doubted whether McGregor has fully recovered properly. However, the latest video by the former dual-weight champion seems to be the answer to every fan who was doubting ‘Mystic Mac’s recovery.

In his latest escapade, ‘Mystic Mac’ has uploaded a video on his Instagram handle of himself shadowboxing and kicking without any problem. To be precise, the kicks were as smooth as a hot knife through butter. It must be noted that McGregor has a titanium rod in his damaged shin; however, it seems like it has not hindered his mobility as much as it was meant to.
McGregor even stated that rather than immobilizing him, his titanium shin is making him feel more like a ‘Terminator’, “I am Terminator now. I have a titanium rod that goes into the knee and down to the bone, right down to my ankle. It’s unbreakable… I wish for and I will work for landing this kick with this steel bar in my leg against an opponent and getting them out of there, “ said McGregor in one of his statements.

Coach John Kavanagh is not worried about McGregor’s comeback
The doubts about his injury have been disregarded by the people who are close to McGregor and that includes his coach, John Kavanagh as well. Kavanagh in his latest statement added that the rumors about McGregor being not ready for his fight against Chandler are baseless. “He’s looking super sleek out there. There are fighters who, when they’re not fighting and after a while, it’s difficult to explain to somebody, a lot of guys watching this that are 15, pro fighting, it starts becoming a job,” said Kavanagh in an interview.

He further added, “The passion and my love of this, it’s a job and it’s hard to keep the level of intensity, even if it’s not physical, the level of mental intensity of always thinking about training, always thinking about sequences, always thinking about techniques. That’s something Connor’s had naturally his whole career.”
