The end of the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter is around the corner. As the finals get nearer, the anticipation from fans is increasing like never before. They are eagerly waiting for rival coaches Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler to lock horns in the UFC octagon after the season finale. The 12th episode of TUF aired on Tuesday, where Cody Gibson from Chandler’s team battled Rico DiSciullo from team McGregor. The bout ended with Chandler’s fighter achieving a glorious victory against DiSciullo via arm triangle choke in the very first round.
Following Gibson’s victory, the episode witnessed a lightweight final face-off between Kurt Holobaugh and Austin Hubbard. Later, a bantamweight final faceoff between Brad Katona and Cody Gibson also took place. Soon afterward, the rival coaches, McGregor and Chandler, came face-to-face, and the UFC president, Dana White, stood between them. However, this time, the two were not having a violent encounter. When Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler came face-to-face, the two kept their cool, unlike the previous time. However, McGregor, being his ‘Notorious’ self, grunted at Chandler at one point. As a response to McGregor’s grunt, ‘Iron’ said, “Can’t wait baby.” Later the Irishman said, “Good job, great buzz, yeah? I look forward to the fight. I wish it was right now!”

Even Chandler wished they could fight right there. Talking to McGregor, the former three-time Bellator lightweight champion added, “Right here, on the bloody canvas.” Presently, the fans hope that the bout between them will come to fruition, as McGregor has assured them that he will fight in December. At the moment, it seems that things are going as per the plan of the UFC, even though McGregor has still not entered the USADA testing pool.

In the 12th episode of TUF, McGregor, and Chandler spoke about their upcoming fight. They both looked equally excited for the monumental clash that has the potential to break PPV records. About the comeback, McGregor said, “This is the biggest comeback in sports history… I’m very excited for it. I’m very confident for it.” Speaking about the bout, Chandler said, “I want the biggest, the baddest and best Conor that we could possibly see. I want to compete against that guy on the biggest stage and the brightest lights.“
‘Iron’ also mentioned that he has huge respect for McGregor for contributing a lot to the sport. He believed that McGregor had done so many great things in his fighting career.
