The veteran UFC commentator, Joe Rogan, missed UFC 271. However, the originally scheduled commentary team had his name on it. But later, the UFC PR team released a statement saying he wouldn’t call UFC 271 because of ‘Scheduling Conflict’. Fellow Comedian Chris D’Elia had a fun time mocking the whole situation when he heard the news.
During a Fight Companion episode for UFC 271 with Matt Mitrione, Bryan Callen, and Brendan Schaub, Chris D’Elia. Schaub revealed that Joe Rogan would not be calling the fights.

It surprised D’Elia, and he said, “What, What are you talking about? Wait a minute, you’re saying that, because hold on, hold on. Did he get sick or something? Did he not wear a mask?”
After that, he behaved like portraying some other character and said, “… You don’t think Spotify had anything to do with it, do you? I… The guy’s a businessman.”
When Schaub asked who owns ESPN, he with a weird voice said, “Who owns ESPN?, Di… Di…” He screamed for a bit, after eventually coming to his normal form.

D’Elia and the crew seemed to mock the entire situation around Rogan, not being able to call the fights at UFC 271. They all laughed and had a light time, making fun of the controversy revolving around Rogan, Spotify, and UFC 271.
D’Elia has previously spoken his mind on the whole controversy. Also, he has mentioned that Rogan has helped push other podcast members’ traffic on Spotify.
Will Joe Rogan call UFC 272?
The UFC President Dana White had a simple answer for everybody questioning when would Rogan return to call the fights. In the post-fight interview at UFC 271, the UFC head declared the veteran UFC commentator can call any event he wants, and he has Rogan’s back.

Also, he revealed that Rogan decided to not call the fights at UFC 271, and the ‘Scheduling Conflict’ report was not true.
Hopefully, the legendary trio of Jon Anik, Daniel Cormier, and Joe Rogan will be back for the much-anticipated grudge match between Jorge ‘Gamebred‘ Masvidal and Colby ‘Chaos‘ Covington.
