To begin with, Joe Rogan gave ‘Sugar’ his flowers during the exchange. Rogan said, “Sean O’Malley you have had a spectacular rise to the top of this division. And it all comes down to tomorrow night. Give us your thought on what goes down”. O’Malley kept his thoughts brief and crisp. He replied, “Boston! Are you ready to watch me knock this dude out?”. Boston clearly did seem ready as the crown excitedly reciprocated with their cheers. ‘Sugar’ signed off with a “See you tomorrow night”. While his words may have been brief, they reflected his confidence ahead of the fight. It was also a display of the support O’Malley was receiving from the crowd.

Aljamain Sterling’s appearance was accompanied by a different reaction. As the spotlight shifted to ‘The Funkmaster’ the cheering was replaced by booing. Rogan began by addressing this shift in tensions. He said, “I don’t know what’s wrong with these people booing”. Getting that out of the way, he continued, “But you’ve become the champion of this division. You’ve defended it more than anyone ever. Give us your thoughts on what tomorrow night happens with ‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley”. Unbothered by the crowd, Sterling looked hyped and rearing to go. The Champ spoke, “Tomorrow night I make history. I become the four-time defending champion. Stacking those resumes. Getting another ruby to that belt. Guess what? Tomorrow night I want y’all to do me a song favor tomorrow”.
