Garry’s commitment to bring UFC back to Ireland

Even though McGregor is training hard and doing his best, his return is shrouded in mystery, as there is yet to be any official confirmation regarding his fight against Michael Chandler. The reason specifically being the USADA pool tests. On the flip side, Ian Garry is profoundly motivated to revive the MMA scene in Dublin. The UFC hasn’t graced Ireland’s shores since Conor McGregor’s memorable knockout of Diego Brandao back in 2014. The Irishman secured himself a dominating spot in his hometown after triumphing over Max Holloway in Boston, a city renowned for its Irish-American community.

In an uncannily similar narrative, Ian Garry recently claimed a commanding victory over the seasoned welterweight contender, Neil Magny, at UFC 292 in the TD Garden, Boston, just last month. ‘The Future’ now sets his sights on a main event in front of a passionate Irish audience, following in the footsteps of his predecessor. The ‘future’ stated while talking to Talk Sports, “That has always been the plan, to get a fight in Ireland and bring the UFC back to Dublin. I’m excited for it to come to fruition, and I believe that this is the cherry on the cake. The Irish influence in Boston just shows the world how incredibly powerful Irish MMA is and I am.”
