Conor McGregor has once again sparked speculation in the MMA world, this time with a mysterious tweet addressed to Joe Rogan. ‘The Notorious,’ who hasn’t competed in the Octagon since 2021, turned to his X account to contact the podcast host, raising talk about a possible appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience. Given the Irishman’s extended absence and the uncertainty surrounding his comeback, fans are eager to hear what he has to say.
McGregor’s message to the UFC commentator was short but intriguing. He wrote on X, “What’s up @joerogan, my man?” I messaged you. Are you looking for a guest on the podcast? I have a great one for you!” Many believe Conor McGregor was offering himself as a guest, implying that he is willing to sit down with Joe Rogan for a serious chat. With his UFC return still uncertain after withdrawing from a scheduled fight with Michael Chandler last year, this potential interview could surely offer light on his future plans.
The former two-division champion has not fought since July 2021, when he suffered a devastating leg injury against Dustin Poirier. While there was optimism for a 2024 return, a toe injury derailed his plans yet again. With no official UFC updates, McGregor remains a mystery. A chat with Rogan could reveal long-awaited details about his future fight plans. Whether Joe Rogan accepts McGregor’s offer remains to be seen, but the sheer prospect of the two sitting together for a podcast has fans excited.

If the interview takes place, it might be one of the most interesting episodes in JRE history, with it probably providing insight into what comes next for The Notorious. So, to no one’s surprise, the tweet has already created a massive buzz on the internet with fans talking bout the biggest ‘What If’ scenario with the Irishman being a guest on the podcast. However, it is worth noting that not every buzz is positive, and the same applies for this situation as well since many are on the fence about Conor McGregor actually being a worthy guest on the platform. Conor McGregor’s recent JRE tweet has fans divided
As soon as Conor McGregor made the tweet, it blew up on the internet. Many MMA and Joe Rogan Experience fans are already hyped up, with several expecting it to be a blockbuster appearance that they cannot wait for. Like this one fan expected the podcast episode to reach 100M+ views in just one day. “1000Million+ views In a Day Guaranteed.” While some other fans couldn’t help but request Joe Rogan to make it happen ASAP. Taking to the comments, they wrote, “Please make this happen,” “Ohhh I need this,” and “This would be awesome.”
However, not everyone was in support of the idea. Several fans believed that this was simply Conor McGregor’s stunt to get himself into the spotlight again. “Bro’s so irrelevant, he’s getting ignored left right.” In fact, many others were of the opinion that ‘The Notorious’ simply isn’t a good enough guest and listening to him on the podcast would really be boring. The fans wrote, “Too much ego for one room, if they drink, they’re fighting,” “Could not think of a bigger waste of time guest what a joke,” and “Don’t know if I can listen to him talk for 3 hours.”

What’s your perspective on:
Is Conor McGregor's podcast pitch to Joe Rogan a genuine move or just another publicity stunt?
Have an interesting take?
What was the most unexpected was the fact that there were many users who wanted Conor McGregor to talk about his country and its politics rather than his fight game. ‘The Notorious’ has time and again expressed his interest in joining the Irish politics and maybe becoming the President of the country. So, many of his supporters want him to talk about his political views, and the nation’s issues while on the biggest podcast in the world. The fans shared in the comments, “You should ! Ireland needs freedom of speech and people of Ireland need their country back,” “Just the political situation in Ireland would be enough for more than 1/2 the podcast length. @joerogan give it a shot,” and “Talk about the situation going on in ireland! It’s a plantation up and down the country!!”
The duo has had their differences in the past. But neither McGregor nor Rogan has dwelled on them. Keeping that in mind, is this a good move for either of them? Can Rogan help McGregor get relevant again, or will hosting McGregor bring bad PR to JRE? Give us your thoughts in the comments.
