At least seven properties were razed and eight were damaged in this exclusive community on the West Coast of the United States because of the fury of the Franklin Fire. The flames broke out on Monday night, and since then they have devoured some 1,600 hectares of vegetation and buildings. About 1,500 firefighters are attacking the fire by air and ground. On Wednesday morning they managed to relatively contain their spread, with the fire decreasing on the eastern and northern flanks. So, with such a major event taking place right now, it is no wonder that Joe Rogan talked about wildfire in the latest edition of his Joe Rogan Experience.
On JRE #2240 with filmmaking legend Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avary, the UFC commentator talked about his experience with wildfires. After all, he had to evacuate his house thrice in the past, back when he lived in Bell Canyon. However, it was also while working in California that he learned about a major catastrophe in the making that would put the lives of 3.82 million LA citizens at risk. So what is this major threat? Well, according to Rogan, Los Angeles might get engulfed in a massive fire sometime soon in the future.
The UFC commentator revealed that while he shot for Fear Factor a few years ago, he met a fireman from the fire department, who made a stunning confession. According to the fireman, $1.06 Trillion worth LA might soon get engulfed if the wind is ‘the right way.’

Rogan said, “When I was filming *Fear Factor, I talked to this guy who was a fireman for the fire department. He said, “It’s just going to be a matter of time. There’s going to be one day where a fire hits LA, and the wind is the right way, and we’re not going to be able to stop it. It’s just going to burn right through to the ocean.”
Truly shocked by the confession, Joe Rogan further asked if the entire city could face devastation. The fireman replied that when those massive fires get going, there’s not a thing that can stop them—just like what happened in Malibu a few years back. This is a piece of information from the podcast that will surely send chills down the spine of people living in Los Angeles. And seeing how the Franklin Fire is still causing havoc, they would hope that the government soon takes some precautionary measures. However, Tarantino too had something to add after Rogan revealed how LA might suffer the same fate as Malibu.

Quentin Tarantino shares a personal anecdote from the 90’s Malibu Wildfire
As soon as Rogan revealed that Los Angeles would be engulfed in flames that would be as disastrous as the ‘Old Topanga Fire’ in Malibu, Tarantino shared his personal story from the same timeline. According to the famed director, he was shooting the movie, ‘Pulp Fiction,’ when the disaster hit. To make things more personal on the set, Pulp Fiction lead Bruce Willis owned a house in Malibu, and it left everyone worried about his family’s safety.

He said, “That was like around ’93; that actually happened while we were shooting ‘Pulp Fiction.’ Yeah, well, there was a big Malibu fire. The big Malibu fire happened while we were shooting Pulp Fiction, and so we actually set up a TV on the set because Bruce Willis was gonna maybe lose his house. And so, he was actually… we had this little TV area so we could, like, in between takes, watch what was going on with the fire.”
However, the story took a hilarious turn when the media started reporting that Bruce Willis and his family were throwing water at the fire, all while Willis was actually at the shooting location of the film. “There were all these reports saying, “Bruce Willis and his family are on top of the house with their water hose.” I go, “No, he’s not. He’s right here,” Tarantino said. Well, it would be interesting to see if Rogan’s claim ever turns true in the future. But what do you think of this massive revelation? Let us know in the comments.
