He was living in the Netherlands after he spent three months in Thailand to train and this is when he met Alistair Overeem, who kickstarted his MMA career. He even trained with middleweight fighter Khamzat Chimaev before his Paris fight against Bogdon Guskov and defeated his opponent.

Surprisingly, he owned a bar and was a personal trainer before he came into the UFC. However, now he is known as ‘No Time’ and he crushes his opponents in the octagon. Oezdemir had taken to his official Instagram account and shared heartwarming news along with posting pictures of him proposing to his now wife with a dazzling diamond ring.

The Swiss-born MMA fighter, who is known for his powerful strikes, expressed his excitement and joy in the caption by writing, “She said yes”. The pictures were taken on a beautiful sea beach where he proposed to her in a fairy tale affair. He also always receives support from his partner through thick and thin, and she is always standing close to him. Even though her name is unknown, her presence was felt as she supported him after the MMA fighter’s loss in UFC 220.

On 17th January 2018, a video was uploaded by the YouTube channel Anatomy of a Fighter on how Volkan Oezdemir was training moments after his loss in UFC 220. The raw moments were shown when he was working out in his locker room after the immediate loss while his team silently supported him.

His life partner was also present in this video and she, too, gave all her support silently by sitting next to him and giving him a heartfelt kiss. No words were needed because her actions proved that she was there for him. He has been a top fighter in UFC and this fight was a title challenger against Daniel Cormier. Oezdemir is also a humble fighter as he had congratulated Cormier on his win.
