The UFC 282 was one of the most enthralling events of the entire year. MMA fans got a feast of good fights including one of the most controversial decisions of the year. The co-main event of UFC 282 featured a lightweight bout between Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett and Jared ‘Flash’ Gordon. The fight was a very evenly matched-up one, with the fighters having a lot of to-and-fro talks in the pre-fight press conferences. It was also a tough contest inside the Octagon with no fighter showing intentions of any half measures whatsoever. This led to a divide among the opinions of the fans. Some chose the ‘Scouser’ as the victor, while others chose to side with ‘Flash’. The end decision, however, came out in favor of ‘the Liverpudlian’ who snatched victory after the end of three rounds.
This decision left a lot of fans and MMA veterans bewildered. Some noted MMA-related personalities, Ariel Helwani, UFC Lightweight Champion, Islam Makhachev, Dominick Cruz, and a few more criticized the judges awarding the fight to Pimblett. The UFC’s color commentator, Joe Rogan, was so confident about Gordon’s victory that he reportedly assured Gordon that he had won this fight.

But, the decision came out in favor of Gordon’s opponent, which had him and Rogan in a bewildered state.
Jared Gordon revealed the words Joe Rogan said to him
Joe Rogan’s shock at the decision could be well noticed in his facial expressions while the scores of the fight were announced.
He was very much confident about ‘Flash’s’ win. Gordon appeared as an online guest on the podcast of the noted former UFC Middleweight fighter and current UFC analyst, Michael Bisping.
While talking about the controversial decision, Gordon stated that Rogan had said to him, “you got this”.
Bisping questioned, “In the cage did he already said that?”. Gordon had the same reply saying, “Yes. Joe Rogan said, ‘you got this, you got this'”. He agreed to Bisping with his answer.
Jared Gordon regretted going a bit easy in the third round
Gordon also revealed that he should have gone with more intensity in the third round. He himself admitted that he could have made much more of the final five minutes of the bout. He was of the opinion that his performance in the final round looked a bit more laid back that the previous rounds.

‘Flash’ also implied that might have compelled the fans and judges to feel that Pimblett was dominating the fight. He stated, “That was the one round where I was like, ‘I regret that round. Should have tried to put more of a stamp on it,’ but the first two rounds, especially the first round, I clearly thought I won.”
