Featherweight stalwart Brian Ortega has raised quite the doubt heading into UFC 306. A recently surfaced photoshoot image has fans worried about his physique, believing that he may not be fit enough to compete this weekend against Diego Lopes. However, an insider, Marcel Dorff, has assured fans that there’s nothing to worry about.
Marcel Dorff, who works as a freelance journalist, shared a tweet of that exact picture of Brian Ortega that has fans worried about his upcoming bout. He cleared it out that this very picture was from a photoshoot back in July this year. Several other fighters from the UFC 306 card also had their photoshoot during that month.
There were a couple of exceptions with Sean O’Malley and Esteban Ribovics having an extra photoshoot session just recently. It will be interesting to see how Brian Ortega’s physique turns out this weekend, which will prove if the fans’ worries are indeed right. However, for now, the insider claims there are no problems with his physique ahead of his anticipated fight.

Brian Ortega agreed to fight Diego Lopes because fans claimed he was a “coward “
UFC fans are as vocal as they come and Brian Ortega noticed it when they claimed that he was afraid to fight Diego Lopes. It’s a surprising take given that the man has fought some of the top contenders, even former champions, in the featherweight division. But that criticism from fans gave ‘T-City’ a chance to prove them wrong, and as such, he accepted the fight against Lopes, who’s been on a stunning winning streak lately.
