Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and the UFC commentator Daniel Cormier share an incredible bond. Both the former UFC fighters are also training partners at the American Kickboxing Academy under the coach Javier Mendez.
During their training session, Nurmagomedov and his Dagestani teammates often have fun moments with Cormier. They also post videos of themselves on the internet for the fans to enjoy.

Recently, a Twitter user posted an old video of DC mimicking WWE fighters in the gym. The former champion wore a mask similar to the WWE stars Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara. He then walked towards ‘The Eagle’ demanding some respect, sarcastically, as the Dagestan star always makes fun of DC in his interviews.

DC acted like he was punching ‘The Eagle’ while he played along. However, he instantly regretted his decision as other teammates attacked from the back and took him to the mat.
It was a hilarious moment for all the fighters at the gym. However, when it comes to seriously backing ‘The Eagle,’ DC never shies away.
Daniel Cormier Backs Khabib Nurmagomedov
‘The Eagle’ retired from professional fighting with an amazing record of 29-0 under his name. He last fought against Justin Gaethje in 2020 and hung his gloves forever. Nurmagomedov promised his mother that he won’t continue professional fighting after his father’s death.
Many consider ‘The Eagle’ as one of the greatest fighters of UFC. However, the bantamweight Dominick Cruz had an issue with Nurmagomedov’s ‘GOAT’ status. Cruz claimed that the Dagestani fighter hasn’t challenged himself enough in his career and retired early.
However, Daniel Cormier shuts the claims and backed Nurmagomedov for his career decision. In the press conference of UFC 267, DC said, “I don’t agree with that statement, but I do understand what Dominic is saying. Because if Dominic would have been undefeated, he would have done something different. He would have said I am gonna fight 135 or 145, sorry.”

He added, “He would have did something different. But Khabib fought at 155. He would have had success at 170. But it was a matter of him getting out and making a promise to his mom and it means more to him. Nothing means more to this guy than family. So he told his mother something losing his dad. It was time for him to walk away and I support it.”

Earlier DC also backed his other teammate Islam Makhachev for the lightweight title shot after his victory at UFC 267. These several incidents prove that the UFC Veteran always backs his teammates no matter what.
