Nick Diaz fought ‘The Spider’ Anderson Silva at UFC 183 in 2015, exactly 6 years ago in a middleweight bout. The two legends of the game shared the Octagon in a highly anticipated clash. The Brazilian was coming off a long injury layoff after his horrific leg break against Chris Weidman at UFC 168.
‘The Spider‘ eventually managed to win a decision after a 5-round classic. But, the NSAC overturned the result as Silva tested positive for banned drug abuse and Diaz broke marijuana rules.
For his role, Diaz received a five-year suspension. Although the punishment was reduced later, Diaz has never fought again since. However, he provided some golden moments that are still looked at fondly.

The bout itself was entertaining, as promised. Silva threw everything he had at the elder Diaz brother, but the Stockton native just walked through everything.
Despite that, he could not finish ‘The Spider’. However, unlike Silva, Diaz has not officially walked away from the game.
