It’s a good time for MMA as fan-favorite Nate Diaz is making a comeback to the octagon at UFC 263. It was a long lay-off for the American, who last fought Jorge Masvidal for the BMF belt at UFC 244 in 2019. However, he’s coming back now to fight welterweight star, Leon Edwards.
They were originally supposed to fight in the co-main event of UFC 262, but Diaz suffered a minor injury. Hence, the UFC had to postpone the fight. Nevertheless, he’s back now and looks healthy enough to fight and possibly beat Edwards.
He posted a video on his YouTube channel which showed him training with his brother Nick, another notorious UFC fighter. It also included several highlights from his most spectacular fights. The video titled “Road 2 war: UFC 263 VLOG”, had shots of him hanging out with his friends while End of the Abyss by Aliaksei Yukhnevich played in the background.

Diaz looked slick in training and was throwing some hard punches. It’s still unclear whether Diaz is targeting a run for the welterweight title or if he is going to ask for a rematch for his BMF belt after the controversial way in which the fight ended. However, he has proclaimed that he wants to fight multiple times in 2021.
His opponent, Edwards, sits at number three in the official UFC welterweight rankings. A win for Diaz in this fight could result in a possible title shot against the champion Kamaru Usman. It would also mean that Diaz would have a wide range of possible big-money fights, with a potential trilogy fight against Conor McGregor also in the mix.

Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal: A controversial ending for the BMF belt fight
The BMF title fight was a one-of-its-kind match. Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz fought each other to determine the UFC’s Baddest M******. Ironically, the fight ended via a doctor’s stoppage after the third round, and Diaz vehemently opposed the decision.
Masvidal agreed with him, and they decided to fight each other again sometime soon. That rematch is yet to materialize, and maybe Diaz would get back into the thick of it after this fight. Nevertheless, fans must be excited to watch Stockton native again.
