Khamzat Chimaev is currently one of the most dominant fighters in the UFC. Having practiced wrestling since childhood, the Russian-born martial artist possesses amazing wrestling skills that he has already showcased in the UFC.

Recently, ‘Borz’ competed in a freestyle wrestling match against Jack Hermansson. The bout headlined the event at Bulldog Fight Night on November 19 in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Chimaev, who was the pre-bout favorite, surely lived up to the expectations. ‘Borz’ looked much bigger than his opponent. He started the bout with a huge throw, sending Hermansson to the mat.

Chimaev landed another takedown going behind Hermansson. Even though the latter retaliated, he couldn’t do much to the UFC welterweight fighter. ‘Borz‘ continued to dominate ‘The Joker’ and won the contest with an 8-0 scoreline.

His wrestling match showed that he wasn’t feeling the effects of his UFC 267 match against Li Jingliang.

Ever since a stunning first-round submission win in his comeback bout, UFC fans are waiting for Khamzat Chimaev’s next opponent. The 10-0 fighter has competed in four UFC fights and has three first-round finishes and one in the second round.

After his recent win, ‘Borz’ desired to come back to the octagon as soon as possible. He is likely to return in the first quarter of 2022. Gilbert Burns, Leon Edwards, Nate Diaz, and even Conor McGregor‘s name came up for Chimaev’s next cage partner. However, there has been no official announcement yet.

‘Borz’ is now a top-10 fighter and will have a lot of attention when he walks to the octagon for the fifth time. However, it might take some time for the promotion to find him a viable dance partner.
