Usman’s knockout was as brutal as one can imagine. What’s even more impressive was the fact that it was against a striker like Masvidal, who had never been knocked out ahead of UFC 261. Masvidal’s T/KO loss to Rodrigo Damm in 2008 was controversial, as the fight shouldn’t have been stopped by any means.

Usman is now on a 14-fight winning streak in the UFC’s welterweight division. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has also defended his belt four times. Namajunas created her own piece of history too as she became the first woman to regain the belt she once held.
