UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, is a man on a mission as he looks to capture his second belt against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259 this weekend. ‘Stylebender’ looks to become one of the very few men in the promotion’s history to achieve the simultaneous double champ status. But, it’s easier said than done, as he will have a dangerous opponent standing across the Octagon on Saturday.
At the UFC 259 press-conference, both men squared off as they took a measure of each other ahead of the important clash. Unexpectedly, there were some words exchanged between the two champions. Izzy noticed a cut above Blachowicz’s eye and pointed it out to him.

‘Cut on your eye,‘ said Adesanya to his opponent. It seemed like a warning from ‘Stylebender’ who is known for his pinpoint accuracy and precision inside the Octagon. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if he looks to target Blachowicz’s cut with his shots and make the latter bleed.
Blachowicz, though, seemed unfazed by Izzy’s words as he maintained his usual calm demeanor. The champ is not one to let words faze him as he prefers to do his talking inside the Octagon.

Can Jan Blachowicz keep up with the speed of Israel Adesanya?
Adesanya is like a sniper who is fast and accurate. Even though he is moving up a weight class, fans expect him to keep his usual style as ‘Stylebender‘ confirmed he didn’t put on any extra weight for the fight. It might be a smart move on his part but, it can also come back to haunt him.

Adesanya certainly has the speed advantage over Blachowicz. But Blachowicz’s strength, power, and weight can prove to be deciding if he decides to wrestle or clinch against the middleweight champion. For now, though, Izzy has already spotted a hole in Blachowicz’s armor.
