Conor McGregor has been recovering from the leg injury he sustained in his last fight. After a long spell in the US, the former two-division UFC champion recently visited Italy for the christening of his son, Rian, in the Vatican.

While on his trip, he was also pictured meeting the AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho. They both were seen exchanging a few gifts, with Mourinho offering him the official club jersey, and in exchange, he tried the Proper Twelve whisky, which was previously owned by McGregor.

However, it was not just the good things he was in the news for. Famous Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti accused McGregor of punching him. ‘The Notorious’ reportedly punched the DJ after two hours of partying together.

In an Instagram video posted by him, he said, “At 2.30 this night I was attacked by Mr. McGregor, that very famous McGregor, who punched me in the mouth, broke my nose in front of ten witnesses, his friends and his bodyguards. He attacked me without motivation as we talked for more than two hours and we also had fun together. I could have shut up and not say anything to anyone, but since it went well for me and I’m here to tell it, I must say that that person is really violent and dangerous.” (Via Leggo [translated from Italian to English via Google Translate])

Controversies surrounding Conor McGregor

‘The Notorious’ hasn’t fought in the UFC since his loss to Dustin ‘The Diamond‘ Poirier at UFC 264. He broke his tibia in the first round, which rendered him unable to continue. However, despite being out of action, he has managed to keep in the limelight. Even though most of it has been because of the wrong reasons.

Recently, he got into a scuffle with singer Machine Gun Kelly at the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
