UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko looks like something out of a Bond movie. The women’s 125 champion has often been asked if she is a spy due to her elegant but deadly nature both inside the Octagon and outside.
‘The Bullet’ spoke to MMA media, ahead of her UFC 255 title fight against Jennifer Maia. When asked how she deals with the question of her being a spy, the champion replied, “It’s really very funny.”

In good humor, ‘Bullet’ said, “I would say of course when you see a person who loves to shoot and who likes fighting and doing probably more different stuff, people think that something wrong with that person”
Shevchenko has a very out-going personality and loves to try new things. Her mentality is key as she told reporters, “My idea is that a person can be anything. They can be multi-tasking. It doesn’t matter if he is a fighter, it doesn’t mean he has to be just a fighter, he or she can be whoever she wants to be.”
A career in MMA is a short one, and Shevchenko believes that fighters should also try their hand at other skills not only as a profession but also as a lifestyle.
She continued, “Being a fighter doesn’t mean that you are limited, we can learn something more, to learn a different profession and be also good at this profession. This is what I want to show in my lifestyle.”
