Khamzat Chimaev and Paulo Costa beefed just for Costa to pull out. Yes, the reason he pulled out for was completely valid for any fighter. An elbow injury that had to be operated on rendered the fighter ineffective to compete. Most people, including Dana White, would agree that the injury needed to be taken care of. However, Chimaev on the other hand couldn’t stop pulling Costa’s leg.

In a recent press conference ahead of UFC 294, Chimaev held nothing back. The fighter called Costa a bunch of things and it didn’t look like he was sold on the whole injury idea.

Chimaev is one of the UFC’s most aggressive fighters. That goes for him both inside and outside of the cage. His words are as sharp as his strikes and as strong as his wrestling. In a recent interview, Dana White was present and speaking about Paulo Costa. This is pretty much when Chimaev decided to intervene.

He called out Costa for not showing up to fight him and accused him of chickening out at the very last moment. He completely set aside all the talk about the injury and it didn’t look like he was going to give up with his taunts.

“The guy went home man,” Khamzat Chimaev told a reporter. “Sh*t himself . . . be honest bro he sh*t himself that’s why (he pulled out).” Chimaev interrupted White as he explained to the press that Costa really did have to pull out because of his serious injuries.
