Joe Rogan is currently 56 years of age. The UFC commentator has made a fortune through UFC and his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. He has a family, and he also does stand-up comedy gigs.
That is why, today, Rogan can afford to call the shots when it comes to leading the life he wants to lead. And so, Rogan has refused to travel internationally to cover live events for the UFC, internationally. However, he still takes on the position for all domestic events (events within the US). He had decided this several years back and sticks to this.
Rogan is a man who doesn’t have all his eggs in one basket. Naturally, when he has to travel internationally to cover events, he might have to miss out on certain important gigs from other walks of his life. Also, he mentioned that the money he makes from those events isn’t enough to compensate for missing his other gigs. Furthermore, he also said that traveling globally leaves him exhausted, and that is not something that he takes well to.

Now, UFC 293, which will be headlined by UFC Middleweight champ Israel Adesanya and title contender Sean Strickland, will see a different set of commentators.
Which UFC events has Joe Rogan missed in the past and who has filled in for him?
Ever since Joe Rogan decided that he would not be traveling internationally, the UFC decided to appoint a set of rotating commentators who would fill in for Rogan.

At UFC 280, when Charles Oliveira took on Islam Makhachev in Abu Dhabi, Joe Rogan was missing from the commentators’ panel. To replace him, the UFC brought in former Lightweight fighter Paul Felder. Similarly, at UFC 275, which was held in Singapore, Rogan didn’t travel with the team. Instead, UFC brought in Michael Bisping.
Now that it is confirmed that UFC 293 will be held in Australia, we now know that Joe Rogan will not be traveling for the event. The UFC has released its official list of commentators for the event. Jon Anik will be leading the play-by-play and will be joined by Laura Sanko and former UFC legend Daniel Cormier.
