The UFC is known for fostering rivalries rather than friendships. A prime example is the ongoing one between Vinicius Oliveira and Umar Nurmagomedov, cousin of former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. This rivalry has been heating up in recent months, fueled by social media exchanges.

Following his victory over Bernardo Sopai, at UFC Vegas 87 on March 2nd, Vinicius Oliveira competed on the preliminary card, while Umar Nurmagomedov was featured on the main card. Both fighters emerged victorious against their respective opponents in the same weight class. Wasting no time, Oliveira immediately expressed his desire to fight Nurmagomedov. In a recent Instagram reel, “Lok Dog” shared the threats he received from “Young Eagle.”

In light of the ongoing controversy, Vinicius Oliveira shared a reel from his Instagram account, mimicking Umar Nurmagomedov’s voice from a received voice chat. In the message, Nurmagomedov said, “Hey, stupid, send me a number. Why are you talking too much? To this, Oliveira replied in the Instagram video, “I’m talking a lot because you worry my f**king way. Your little chicken. I sh*t your f**king face.” However, Oliveira didn’t stop there, adding, “I’m coming for you. Don’t be pu**y. Don’t run away From your destiny.”

At the end of the reel, Lok Dog also attached a screenshot of the DM, similar to what he did last month. In addition to the DM, the reel also showed a video call that Oliveira didn’t reveal anything about. This ongoing rivalry between both young fighters has great potential.

When Oliveira called out Young Eagle

In one of his post-fight interviews, Oliveira told the reporter that he wanted to fight Umar Nurmagomedov next. However, he might be underestimating his opponent. While Lok Dog may not be considered a strong wrestler, Oliveira shouldn’t overlook him completely. Later, Oliveira emphasized that he needs to work hard on his defense, which is currently considered weaker compared to Nurmagomedov’s. True to form, the rivalry continued online.
