The former interim welterweight champion mentioned how the UFC 295 event was going to be one of the biggest pay-per-views in the history of Dana White‘s promotion. However, Covington’s former college roommate, Jon Jones, did not want him to be a part of that event. He said, “It was going to be an electric factory. It was going to be one of the biggest pay-per-views of all time. But ultimately, Jon did not want me on there.”
Moreover, he did not get the news from the UFC officials. Rather, ‘Chaos’ had his own source, who verified that rumor to him. “I am not gonna say the UFC told that, you know. I have my source and you know, things happen.” Moreover, Covington even reverted back to an old accusation he laid on Jon Jones.
‘Chaos’ wants answers from the heavyweight champ
Colby Covington has become a strong adversary of Jon Jones, even though they went to college together. He even rejects the notion that ‘Bones’ is the greatest MMA fighter of all time. Moreover, recently he expressed his suspicion about Jones visiting the infamous Epstein Island. The welterweight star even mentioned that the heavyweight champion has yet to comment on those rumors. Covington further stated, “He hasn’t actually come out and denied the rumors that he might have been on Epstein Island.”
