Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have had two fights before. The first was at UFC 196, where Diaz stepped in as a last-minute replacement for McGregor‘s original opponent. Diaz shocked the world by submitting the Irishman in the second round, marking the first loss of Conor‘s UFC career. The two then had a rematch at UFC 202, which Conor McGregor won by majority decision after a grueling five rounds.

Since then, fans have been clamoring for a trilogy fight between the two for closure. Despite McGregor‘s recent losses, a third fight with Diaz would still generate a huge amount of buzz and interest. The American is currently not under UFC’s contract, but no one can predict the future.
