The UFC returns to the Apex this weekend for another Fight Night event with UFC Vegas 105. While the card doesn’t seem to have too much star power, it still has some in-form fighters who’ll unquestionably produce some great action. The headlining fight involves two of the best featherweights at the moment, Josh Emmett and Lerone Murphy, who’ll be butting heads inside the Octagon for the first time.

However, there’s always this one thing that bugs fans when it comes to these UFC events. How much are the fighters taking home for their scheduled fights? Well, without any further ado, let’s explore the possible payouts of the headliners – Josh Emmett and Leon Murphy first.

Josh Emmett and Lerone Murphy’s salaries at UFC Vegas 105

Josh Emmett has been in the UFC for well over a decade, and at 40 years old, he’s still one of the most exciting fighters on the entire UFC roster. At this point in his career, his base salary for a single fight stands around $100,000 to $150,000, and the highest paycheck he ever earned was when he fought Bryce Mitchell and knocked him out. For that fight, Emmett took home a handsome payout of around $761,000. Hence, to make an estimation of our own, ‘CC0’ may not be making less than $750,000 to $800,000 for his main event fight at UFC Vegas 105.

On the other hand, Lerone Murphy has maintained an undefeated record at 15-0-1. But when it comes to his payouts, he hasn’t quite made it yet. Murphy, 33, appears to have made the most money when he fought veteran Edson Barboza in May last year. For that fight, ‘The Miracle’ reportedly walked away with around $450,000, which included bonuses as well. Murphy’s next big payout stood around $250,000, which he was awarded after his wins over Joshua Culibao and Dan Ige.

So, to estimate how much money he could be walking away with, the undefeated could be hoping to make around $350,000 to $450,000 when he steps inside the cage this weekend. However, there are more fighters on the card, so let’s take a look at their possible payouts as well!

Pat Sabatini, Joanderson Brito, and other UFC Vegas 105 payouts

Another fighter who’s shown a lot of promise since stepping into the world of UFC has been Pat Sabatini. The Pennsylvania native, after joining the UFC in 2021, made the most money for a fight when he took on Diego Lopes at UFC 295. That night, Sabatini earned around $578,000, which is the estimated sum that he could walk away with from his fight against Joanderson Brito this weekend. His opponent, on the other hand, made significantly less, with his last fight meaning him a mere $81,000. As such, Brito could be heading home this weekend with at least an estimated $100,000 against Sabatini.

What’s your perspective on:

Are UFC fighters like Josh Emmett being paid fairly for the risks they take in the Octagon?

Have an interesting take?

Moving over to the other notable fighters on the UFC Vegas 105 card, we have bantamweight fighter Cortavious Romious, who’s had just one official UFC fight so far, and that didn’t pan out well for him. He lost on his debut and reportedly walked away with $16,000. So, we could hope to see Romious making a similar amount this weekend.

We’ll now finally turn to the bigger guys, with heavyweight contender Kennedy Nzechukwu, who’ll take on Martin Buday at UFC Vegas 105. If we take a look at his fight, which took place at UFC 310, ‘African Savage’ took home an estimated $270,000, which gives us an idea that his next fight could see him take him up to $300,000 on Saturday.

The final two payout estimations involve two middleweights, who’ll be butting heads against each other. Firstly, let’s talk about Brad Tavares, who reportedly made around $296,000 for his last fight at UFC Vegas 98. Just like Kennedy Nzechukwu, his payout for UFC Vegas 105 could be around the same amount as his last fight.

Finally, Gerald Meerschaert, who’ll be making his UFC return after losing out to Reinier de Ridder in his last fight at UFC Vegas 100. For that matchup, the 185’er earned around $321,000, and if he plays his cards right, he could make up to $350,000 to $400,000 if he beats his Tavares this weekend.

Well, these are our estimations, but we’d like to know what you think. Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
